Corner Place is on the Move!

Armstong Room Remodeled

New sink and tile floor in the Armstrong Room at New Life Presbyterian Church

Corner Place is moving! Not far – just across the street.

The Corner Place is moving from its current location at 969 Monroe Ave. to New Life Presbyterian Church on the corner of Monroe Ave. and Rosedale – a short city block from its current location.

In preparation for the move, renovations will be made at New Life that include the installation of a new sink, new floor tiles, and lots of shelves and cupboards in the Armstrong Room (previously occupied by SEAC).

In addition to the Armstrong room, the floor will be repaired and a new carpet installed, in the classroom on the same floor as the Armstrong Room.

With those two rooms, the use of the Primary Room, and potential use of the stage area, there will be lots of space to provide programming. We are looking forward to the transition to the new space. It will a good deal both for the Corner Place and for New Life Presbyterian Church.

We will be looking for volunteers to help move all the materials from the current location to New Life – probably shortly after the Labor Day holiday. If this is something that you would be willing to help with, please let Lynette Sparks know.

Updates and photos will be available as the process continues.
