Educate Yourself About Hunger Issues

brd_top_logoJoin us as we learn more about the needs of the hungry in our community, and what we can do to help.

Please register now for a timely Bread for the World meeting:
Tuesday, October 7, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Third Presbyterian Church
4 Meigs St., Rochester, NY 14607.

The months ahead are important ones for hungry people. Congress
finishes its work for the year, the November elections determine
which party holds sway in the House and Senate for the next two
years, and advocates begin to plan for what unfolds next year.

Bread members in your part of New York State are excited about
getting together to encourage each other and set some goals for
the year ahead. I, as your Bread staff organizer, will brief those
present on the key hunger-related issues Congress will address
before the end of 2014 (including after the election), and what
we can do in advocacy to shape the outcomes. We’ll also hear more
about Bread’s broad vision of ending hunger by the year 2030, and
how our efforts for the 1,000 Days campaign on nutrition for very
young children impact that.

You’ll have a chance to meet other advocates from your area and
share information and energy as we work to end hunger. Please join
us! We look forward to seeing you.

Please RSVP, or address questions about
the meeting, to

I look forward to seeing you in Rochester!
